SELINA JONES

Director · Clinical Canine Behaviour Practitioner · Mucky Pupz Canine Pathways

Selina founded Mucky Pupz to support dogs whose owners work full time. She brings over 50 years of lived and professional experience, with Level 3, 4 and 5 qualifications in Canine Behaviour. She is a Level 6 Clinical Animal Behaviour candidate working towards ABTC registration. Her work focuses on dogs in modern family life, understanding how behaviour develops and helping owners through education and informed handling. Welfare, safety and evidence-based practice guide her work with families and staff. She is also a qualified dog groomer and canine first aider.

SAMMY

Business Manager

Sammy oversees daily operations across daycare, boarding and grooming, including staff supervision, rotas, client liaison, operational decisions, safety and compliance. Her hands-on approach supports consistent care and the smooth running of the business. She holds Level 3 and 4 Canine Behaviour qualifications and is a qualified dog groomer and canine first aider.

GEMMA

Senior Daycare Assistant

With over seven years at Mucky Pupz, Gemma supports nervous dogs and puppies, helps with training and assists dogs as they settle into daycare. She has a strong interest in canine nutrition and plans further study. At home she shares life with pugs Doug and Wally: one calm and affectionate, the other full of mischief. Canine first aider.

CAIT

Daycare Supervisor

Cait is studying canine behaviour and applies her learning each day to help dogs feel safe, settled and well managed. She enjoys training Border Collies Alfie and Ky and her Romanian rescue, Rhoma, gaining experience of different breeds, backgrounds and needs. Canine first aider.

LUCY

Canine Groomer

Lucy works part time in the grooming salon and has wanted to work with animals since childhood. She is the owner of Diesel, a blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier known for his boundless energy. Canine first aider.

LAUREN

Daycare Assistant

Lauren is training for a City & Guilds dog grooming qualification and hopes one day to own a cocker spaniel. She is passionate about her work and the Mucky Pupz community. Canine first aider.

CAROL

Part-time Daycare Assistant

Carol began as a volunteer after her pug Winnie joined the daycare family. Originally from Scotland, she enjoys caring for the dogs and continuing to learn. Winnie has epilepsy but remains a lively character. Canine first aider.

TINA

Daycare Assistant

A trained primary school teacher, Tina brings a calm, patient and nurturing approach. She is the owner of Mary and Mabel, has an interest in hydrotherapy and enjoys helping dogs build confidence during splash-pool sessions. Canine first aider.

OUR CANINE FAMILY

Frank, affectionately known as FatFrank, loves food, sofa time and plenty of attention. Darcy is a Chinese Crested who takes time to trust new people, particularly men, but is affectionate once she knows you. Daisy and Dory are energetic Mexican Hairless dogs, also known as Xolos, whose favourite pastime is teasing Frank.

IN LOVING MEMORY

Raphael, known as Roo, was a much-loved Mexican Hairless and Chinese Crested cross. His spirit remains part of Mucky Pupz. Rodney, a shy and playful Chinese Crested with complex health needs, died in summer 2021. Beau, our yellow Labrador who loved her soft toys and watching visitors from the shop, died in August 2019. Each remains an important part of our story.
