They say if you love your job, you never work a day in your life! We can vouch for that! It's not for the faint-hearted and it is hard work. It can be heartbreaking when people move on to new pastures or when illness or old age robs us of one of our pack but .......... it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all! The dogs teach us so much and whilst it can be quite trying at times, it is most definitely the best job in the world!

Business Owner
Dogs are a way of life for me and my family. They have been a large part of my life for as long as I can remember. My career has been in IT & App Development and so setting up Mucky Pupz fulfilled a lifelong dream of working with dogs. I could never have imagined that it would develop into a tight-knit community of like-minded people!
I spend my time between the grooming salon and the office, as sadly, admin is a part of any chosen career! My favourite dogs to groom are Bichons and Doodles, and I am particularly interested in Asian Fusion grooming.
Mucky Pupz has grown from strength to strength and it is with huge thanks to my staff and, of course, all of our much-loved doggy parents. Despite the COVID outbreak, they have all continued to support us, and we will be forever grateful.
I have passed my Level 3 and nearly completed my Level 4 qualifications in Canine Behaviour. Thanks to the paperwork she left me with, Sammy is a little ahead of me!

Gemma
Daycare Supervisor
I have been working at Mucky Pupz for 7 years now. I support Sammy in the running of the business and have responsibility for mentoring the nervous dogs and puppies and provide training to our daycare dogs.
I'm very interested in canine nutrition and will be starting my formal training very soon.
I own Doug & Wally, both pugs, who feature quite a lot on our Facebook page. Doug is just a perfect little potato, whilst Wallis on the other hand, is a little on the naughty side! Together, they compliment each other perfectly!

Business Manager
I have taken over the day-to-day management of the business from my mum, Selly. I've just left her with the boring paperwork! I love the freedom of running my own business, and I'm learning so much.
I've loved animals my entire life. I grew up surrounded by them and wouldn't have it any other way. I have 3 dogs, Winston, Benson and Taco; 2 dachsies and a pug.
Lou, who was 18 when she crossed the rainbow bridge, can be seen above on the left. Her mum, Maisy, is on the right, but sadly she is no longer with us. Our logo is in honour of both of them. They were very special little girls, and we miss them very much.
Benson is a little pug that I adopted. Unfortunately, he lost an eye due to an ulcer. Apart from being very sensitive to sounds, he manages very well.
I have recently passed my Levels 3 & 4 qualifications in Canine Behaviour.

Living the Good Life!
Having lead a mainly corporate life, it has been a breathe of fresh air being able to work outdoors and be in charge of my own destiny. I spend my time managing the business with my family and working longer hours than I ever have! I also run the smallholding which is still in its' infancy and I'm hoping it will provide some healthy living for all of us.
Dogs have been an important part of our family life for so many years and they have seen us through some pretty desperate times. Our aim is to provide a stable environment for dogs and their owners; when life gives you lemons, we make lemonade!
Daisy and Dory are my constant companions and I've never been happier!

Lucy
Canine Groomer
From a very young age, I always knew I wanted to work with animals. They are who I am, so I am thrilled to now be a part time Dog Groomer at Mucky Pupz. I couldn't ask for anything better to be working alongside dogs and taking care of them.
I am mum to Diesel, a blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who you'll see in some of the videos. He has been so good since the day we brought him home, even though his nickname is 'petrol head' at school, as he just never stops!

Senior Daycare Assistant
Dogs are my passion, I am an auntie to Alfie and Ky, both Border Collie's and mum to Rhoma, a rescue from Romania. I love training them, and the best thing of all is that, for me, every day is 'Bring Your Dog to Work Day'!!
I'm currently studying canine behaviour.
I really am living my best life!

Daycare Assistant
I've always wanted to work with dogs, and I was so pleased to start working at Mucky Pupz. I've learnt so much already and I hope to be able to work towards a canine grooming qualification over the next couple of years.
I look after my Grandad's dog who is a Cockapoo. My dream one day is to own a cocker spaniel of my own. I am passionate about my job and really did hit the jackpot when i became part of the Muckypupz family.

Carol
Part - Time Daycare Assistant
I began my Muckypupz journey as a volunteer after my beloved pug Winnie became part of the daycare family. Now the best part is that i get to spend all my days off, cuddling the dogs and learning along the way.
Winnie is my Pug who is 8 years old and is a little diva. She suffers from Epilepsy but that doesn't stop her being the life and soul of any room.
I am originally from Scotland (you'll probably gather that from my accent). The dogs know exactly who's on shift when they hear my voice! Their favourite Scotswoman.
